Her practice focuses on business law in general, but especially on corporate mergers and acquisitions, both local and international, as well as corporate financing. Ms. Lortie also works in real estate law, particularly in commercial leases, as well as in pharmaceutical law. Given her expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, notably concerning franchising and distribution agreements and professional conduct, she is called on to represent pharmacists in different aspects of their professional lives.

Ms. Lortie has also spoken on the venture capital experience in Quebec, on professional conduct as it applies to corporate lawyers, on regulations applicable to the practice of a pharmacist’s profession and on distribution contracts and other business aspects. She has also written articles, especially on shareholder agreements and distribution contracts. In addition, she teaches business law and the law of obligations at the École du Barreau, as well as corporate financing and forms of business as part of the Université Laval Master’s program in Business Law.

Ms. Lortie firmly believes that it is important to have social commitments and currently serves, and has served, on various boards of directors of community and charitable organizations.
